A FlexiVOUCHER package includes the transfer from the airport to the city hotel in San José, the first night at that hotel, a 4WD car rental and the amount of open hotel vouchers (FlexiVOUCHERS) you wish to buy. The vouchers can be used at more than 140 hotels all over Costa Rica. The minimum duration of a package is 7 nights and you can book your FlexiVOUCHER package with a tour operator or directly with us. FlexiVOUCHER programs can be booked all year round with the exception of stays between December 20th and January 10th and during the Easter week.
Of Your Trip Together with the confirmation of your reservation, we will provide you with your personal password to our detailed information about each region, participating hotels, pictures, maps, tips for restaurants and activities on this website. Previous to your booking, you only have access to one region as an example. After your arrival in San José you will receive a complete travel handbook with the same information as on this website.
Our English-speaking airport guide will wait for you at the exit of the airport. He will give you all necessary information on the program during the transfer to the city hotel and of course, he will hand over the FlexiVOUCHERS, a road map and the travel handbook. You will also receive a reservation number, which you will have to advise to the hotels, if you wish to make a reservation (maximum 3 days in advance). The car will be delivered to your hotel the next morning at the agreed time and you can start your discovery tour in Costa Rica.
You can pay your room at over 140 hotels in Costa Rica with your FlexiVOUCHERS. To check availability at the hotels, you can either consult the reception or make a phone call. In all cases, you must identify yourself as a FlexiVOUCHER client. Our FlexiVOUCHERS are valid for standard rooms at all hotels. If these rooms are sold out, it is the free decision of the hotel, to offer an upgrade in a higher room category, or to charge you the difference, which of course you can rejected and continue looking for another hotel of the program. Most of the participating hotels also allow to make reservations maximum 3 days in advance. We recommend to use this opportunity, especially during high season (December-April and July/August). If you make a reservation at one of the hotels, you are also obliged to identify yourself as a FlexiVOUCHER client and to mention your personal reservation number to the hotel. If you make a reservation, you will have to show up, otherwise you will be charged with no show charges.
Since 2006 there are some roaming contracts in place which allow you to use your own celular phone in Costa Rica. Nevertheless we offer a free cellular phone delivered with the car. However, due to the fact that you need to leave a deposit to cover the loss or damage of the device, we ask you to book this service explicitly.
