Car rental from/to San José (pick up and drop off at other places is possible and clients must pay the charge directly to the car rental company). Unlimited mileage. 1 Day = 24 hours rental.
FlexiVOUCHERS valid for standard rooms at the participating hotels without making a reservation and with the services included as per participating list.
Back-up and helpdesk from ARA Tours in English, German and Spanish, from Monday to Friday 08h00 – 18h00. Saturday and Sunday 08h00 – 16h00.
Insurances for car rental (see price list).
Pick up and drop off fees at another destination than San José.
Any overtime if client returns car too late.
Upgrades to other room types as standard.

FlexiVOUCHERS are NOT VALID between 20st December and 10th January and during Easter week (16.03. - 23.03.08).
Minimum 5 nights (1 night San José + 4 FlexiVOUCHERS).
If the client runs out of FlexiVOUCHERS but wants to stay longer at one of the participating hotels, the hotel will charge the official rack rate directly to the client.
Unused FlexiVOUCHERS are not refundable.
Most hotels accept a reservation maximum 3 days prior to arrival. It’s recommendable to use this service during high season (December – April) and July/August. Clients must sign a declaration upon arrival, that allows ARA Tours to charge any no show fees to their credit card. The deposit that must be paid to the car rental company upon arrival will also cover these eventualities.
The clients must identify themselves as FlexiVOUCHER clients of ARA Tours if they want to check availability or make a reservation at any of the participating hotels. If they do not identify themselves as FlexiVOUCHER clients, the hotel might charge a supplement between the official rack rate and the reduced FlexiVOUCHER rate.
Clients will always receive 1 voucher for the first night in San José and the rest in FlexiVOUCHERS. (For example: Package 8 days/7nights = 1 voucher San José + 6 FlexiVOUCHERS.)
Unused transfers are not refundable
Please note that the basic insurance is not included, but obligatory. Clients must pay insurance directly to the car rental company by credit card. Clients do also have to sign for a deposit by credit card. Please check the conditions for insurance policies and deposits under Car Rental in our manual. The following rates apply:
